Description
PATAGONIA FISHERMAN’S ROLLED BEANIE
Patagonia made the year-round Fisherman’s Rolled Beanie to stick with you through all your plans, from an open-ended road trip to a season or two of flipping flapjacks in Stanley. This every-day, go-to hat is made from a not-too-warm blend of itch-free recycled polyester with a small amount of elastane for shape retention and stretch. Soft, skin-friendly and eminently comfortable, this beanie features a 1 x 1 rib construction to trap heat on chilly days and a low-profile fit for pairing with a climbing helmet.
- Soft 96% recycled polyester/4% elastane yarn that’s itch-free and comfortable next to skin
- Rib-knit cuff
- Fully fashioned construction
- 102 g (3.6 oz)
Materials
96% recycled polyester/4% elastane
Note
This beanie has a shallow fit that skims the ears. Due to the nature of the yarn and construction, the beanie looks smaller but will stretch with wear.
Recycled Polyester
In 1993, Patagonia adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. Patagonia were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR™ clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.
Today, Patagonia are able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.
Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.
